What to bring

  • Money for lunch at the han and any local fee at the canyon or the waterfall
  • On the overnight: a change of clothes and a towel - bedding is provided
  • Closed shoes - trainers or boots, not sandals or flip-flops
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • ID or your passport
  • Cash or a card for the fare and anything you buy on the way

Not allowed

  • Driving the Jeep, FJ Cruiser or Hummer - one of our drivers is always at the wheel
  • Ignoring the guide’s instructions on the track - they are not suggestions

Know before you book

  • Lunch at Hani i Taulant Shahinit is a stop we suggest and can book; you pay there
  • Any local access or entrance fee at the Holta canyon or the Sotira waterfall is paid there
  • The overnight is a night at the han and Dushk Lake on day two; the room and meals are paid at the han
  • No deposit and nothing paid online: you pay the driver on the day, in cash or by card
  • Pickup and drop-off are free in Tirana and at Rinas airport; anywhere else costs a fee we agree with you first
  • Rescheduling is free. In bad weather we make the call the evening before or early that morning
  • Tell us before you book about any medical condition, pregnancy or recent injury

Questions about this tour

What do we see on the Gramsh tour?

The Holta canyon, cut by the Holta river, and the Sotira waterfall, with lunch at Hani i Taulant Shahinit. On the two-day version you sleep at the han and see Dushk Lake the next morning.

Is lunch at the han included?

No. We suggest the han and can book the table, and you pay there for what you order.

Are there entrance fees?

Any local access or entrance fee at the canyon or the waterfall is not in the fare and is paid there.

Can we stay overnight?

Yes - a night at the han, which we suggest and can book, then Dushk Lake on day two before the road home. The room and meals are paid at the han.

Can I drive the Jeep?

No - the Jeep Wrangler, the FJ Cruiser and the Hummer are always driven by one of our drivers, so you can watch the view instead of the track. The only vehicle guests drive is the 2-seat buggy, on the Bovilla route.

What is the smallest group you take?

This route runs from three guests. If you are fewer, ask us on WhatsApp about running it as a private tour for your party.

What happens if it rains?

We move your day or cancel it, free of charge - nothing has been paid, so nothing is lost. We make the call the evening before or early that morning, and you hear it from us rather than having to ask.
