We come to you - Tirana, Durrës, Rinas airport or your hotel. The longest drive of our catalogue, so expect an early start.

The road north-east to Kukës, between the mountains and the Fierza reservoir.

Off the asphalt and onto the trail hill above the villages.

What to bring
- Snacks for the road - it is our longest drive, and food is not included
- A warm layer for the trail above the villages
- Closed shoes - trainers or boots, not sandals or flip-flops
- Sunscreen and sunglasses
- ID or your passport
- Cash or a card for the fare and anything you buy on the way

- Driving the Jeep, FJ Cruiser or Hummer - one of our drivers is always at the wheel
- Ignoring the guide’s instructions on the track - they are not suggestions
Know before you book
- The longest drive in our catalogue: an early start, and back before nightfall
- We confirm the pickup time when we confirm the booking
- Any local guide or access fee on the trail is paid there
- No deposit and nothing paid online: you pay the driver on the day, in cash or by card
- Pickup and drop-off are free in Tirana and at Rinas airport; anywhere else costs a fee we agree with you first
- Rescheduling is free. In bad weather we make the call the evening before or early that morning
- Tell us before you book about any medical condition, pregnancy or recent injury

What is Shtegu i Ngjyrave?
The Trail of Colours: hill country above Kukës, reached by the off-road trail at Shishtavec and Novosej. The whole day is named for its landscape.
How long is the drive?
It is the longest drive we run, north-east to Kukës and back, so it starts early and we are home before nightfall. We confirm the pickup time when we confirm your booking.
Is food included?
No, food and drinks are not in the fare. Bring snacks for the road - we stop wherever you ask along the way.
Are there any fees on the trail?
Any local guide or access fee on the trail is not in the fare and is paid there.
Can I drive the Jeep?
No - the Jeep Wrangler, the FJ Cruiser and the Hummer are always driven by one of our drivers, so you can watch the view instead of the track. The only vehicle guests drive is the 2-seat buggy, on the Bovilla route.
What is the smallest group you take?
This route runs from three guests. If you are fewer, ask us on WhatsApp about running it as a private tour for your party.
What happens if it rains?
We move your day or cancel it, free of charge - nothing has been paid, so nothing is lost. We make the call the evening before or early that morning, and you hear it from us rather than having to ask.
