- Both boats are in the fare: the Koman Lake ferry and the Shala River boat, there and back
- The day follows the boat schedule; we confirm your pickup time when we confirm the booking
- A full day only - there is no overnight version of this route
- Lunch, drinks and kayak, paddle-board or sunbed hire at the beach are paid there
- No deposit and nothing paid online: you pay the driver on the day, in cash or by card
- Pickup and drop-off are free in Tirana and at Rinas airport; anywhere else costs a fee we agree with you first
- Rescheduling is free. In bad weather we make the call the evening before or early that morning
- Tell us before you book about any medical condition, pregnancy or recent injury

Questions about this tour
Are the ferry and the boat included?
Yes. The Koman Lake ferry and the Shala River boat are both in the fare, there and back, along with the road transfer from Tirana to Koman.
Can we swim at the Shala River?
Yes - the day is built around free time at the river beach. Bring swimwear and a towel; neither is included.
Is lunch included?
No. Lunch and drinks at the river are paid there, and so is kayak, paddle-board or sunbed hire if you want it.
What time do we leave?
The day follows the boat schedule, so the pickup time depends on that day’s departures. We confirm it by WhatsApp when we confirm your booking.
Can we stay overnight?
No - Shala runs as a full day only. For a route with a night in the mountains, look at Theth, Gramsh or the Gramë highlands.
What is the smallest group you take?
This route runs from three guests. If you are fewer, ask us on WhatsApp about running it as a private tour for your party.
Do you pick us up from our hotel?
Yes - we collect you from your hotel or address and bring you back. It is free in Tirana and at Rinas airport; anywhere else costs a small fee that we agree with you on WhatsApp before the booking is confirmed.
What happens if it rains?
We move your day or cancel it, free of charge - nothing has been paid, so nothing is lost. We make the call the evening before or early that morning, and you hear it from us rather than having to ask.
